"Birth of my granddaughter"

About: Lister Hospital

My daughter went into labour Friday 25th September and had a normal delivery early hours of 26th . Midwife led unit was short staffed and they had called in a community midwife to cover . We met one midwife who wasn't very attentive but pleasant enough and then another midwife arrived and took total control . They were fantastic, just so calm and so reassuring which is exactly what my daughter needed . In spite of the midwife being very tired they were completely attentive , very polite , extremely professional and in complete control . I would really like them to be properly thanked by their management as they deserve positive recognition . This midwife is an excellent midwife

Thanks for getting in touch Sian - do rest assured that your comments will be fed back to the team, as we do with all such feedback we get as it's very much part of how we ensure that our midwives feel valued by their colleagues, new mothers and their families.

In the meantime, we do hope that you are enjoying your new grandchild and that your daughter is enjoying motherhood too.
