"Another very satisfied customer!"

I came to hospital for elective day surgery on 7 January and want to express my sincere thanks for the excellent treatment and care I received from the Consultant, their Assistant and Anaesthetist, through to the team of nurses on Mersea Ward.

The consultant came to see me pre op. to fully explain what would take place and also point out what could go wrong - in fact it wouldn't surprise me to see them doing a stand-up comedy routine on Britain's Got Talent anytime soon! - but they certainly put me at my ease and calmed my nerves!

After the operation I was transferred to Mersea Ward and the care I received there was second to none.

Nothing was too much trouble for the nurses and although it was apparent they were working under considerable pressure due to the fact that the hospital was so busy, they always managed to keep a smile on their faces.

The consultant, their Assistant and Anaesthetist all came back to check on me before they "clocked off" well into the evening which was very much appreciated.

So, once again, my sincere thanks to all concerned from the bottom of my heart - keep up the excellent work!
