About: North Middlesex Hospital

my father has been diagnosed with terminal cancer. The treatment received by a particular Consultant is the most atrocious. I am in the process of writing a complaints letter. As an oncologist you need to have the basic skills of at least caring but unfortuantely this Consultant does not even have this. My fathers scans came back on xmas eve revealing his cancer spread to the brain which needed attending to and this Consultant because they were on holiday failed to respond to emails and voice messages left for them as they were on their 'holidays'. A completey different Doctor who was on holiday them self made the effort to get my fathers results and send him up to Barnet hospital to immeadiatley start a prescription of steroids. Then for the original Consultant to see him in the wating room for radiotherapy today and walks past him whilst making eye contact and ignoring my father and my mother.. appalling mannerisms and service towards a patient who is terminally ill. this is just a basic description of what we have endured at the hands of this Consultant.. Absolute disgrace....

Thank you for your feedback.

I am very sorry to hear of your father's condition, and about the experiences you both had over the Christmas period.

I am the hospital's Cancer Lead, dstoker@nhs.net and would welcome further feedback from you, in order that I may look in to it further, and address the issues. Look forward to hearing from you.
