"Urgent Care Experiences"

About: West Middlesex University Hospital

Urgent Care should be treated like it's, well, urgent but this is generally not the case. I sometimes (like most people) need to visit for medical treatment. The waiting times are often four hours and with more serious cases being brought in usually the board grows and grows in times. I often spend four hours waiting in a hot stuffy UCC waiting room to be taken to a doctor to find that when a receptionist says "You should see the doctor, I'll just sort that for you" I actually apparently didn't need one. This is especially frustrating when I've been waiting four hours for medical care. I don't doubt for a second that this hospital does everything possible to help us but it just annoys me.

I also have a problem with the disinfectant smells, it can cause me to vomit. I know not much can be done about this but if anything can be done then it would be fabulous.

I really appreciate the Nurse's and Doctor's, Paramedics and even receptionists who do this job and I admire you. It's not your faults I am feeling this way as you do your very best to ensure that standards are high but this is not always the case. Thank you for taking your time to read this and if you do reply WMUH then that is much appreciated.
