"Our ultrasound experience"

About: Royal Derby Hospital / Maternity care

(as the patient),

We came recently for our 20 week ultrasound and unfortunately didn't have a very positive experience. The member of staff we came into contact with didn't seem very positive. The member of staff never asked us if we would like to find out the gender of our baby nor did they offer any photographs so we could share with family and friends. The member of staff only gave us a quick glance at the screen and we left feeling very disappointed and upset. This is supposed to be an exciting and special time in family lives and we were made to feel like 'just another family'.
