Apparently men of a "certain age" shouldn't rush into full contact sports too eagerly!
A couple of months ago I snapped my achilles tendon and have attended Frank Radcliffe clinic and the plaster room 3 times since.
I have got to say that the staff in the clinic doctors, nurses and admin were all very "human". They told me everything I needed to know in a way that I could fully understand. They were professional enough to do the job of getting me better and human enough to make me feel like I was being cared for and to have a laugh which is the best medicine of all!
The staff in the plaster room were a great bunch, especially "pumpkin" Sue! So attentive, efficient yet caring and with a great sense of humour. They really seem to gel as a team and if I snap anything else that needs a cast seeing them again would be the silver lining!
Thank you all so much for fixing me.
