"Thank you for saving my life!"

About: West Middlesex University Hospital

Two visits to A&E between 28th Dec and 4th Jan with severe allergic reaction. From the outset, reception/s were sympathetic, understanding and helpful which helps immensely when you're unwell.. First visit: all staff were excellent but a special thanks to a Nurse who was just wonderful. Second visit (more serious): Condition: Anaphylactic shock. Attending ambulance crew and solo paramedic at my home were amazing and made me feel a LOT safer from the minute I was in their hands. Hospital arrival, resus team were fantastic, doing their best to make me feel it was under control (it worked!). A&E majors and obs ward staff ALL fantastic, especially Doctor who was treating me. Time taken to explain everything fully and ensure I was completely ok to leave before discharge. I have had some bad experiences with West Mid over the years, but I have to commend the hospital on just how much it has improved. NHS staff never get enough credit for the emotional support side of their work, let alone the practical. The NHS is an invaluable institution and one which I hope gets all the support it requires; are you listening, Jeremy Hunt?

Thank you, West Middlesex. You really are angels.

Hi Denise, thank you so much for taking the time to provide us with your feedback. I have passed on your kind comments to the A&E team here who will really appreciate them. Hope you have recovered well.
