"I was cared for brilliantly and quickly"

About: South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust / Emergency ambulance Weston General Hospital / Accident and emergency

(as the patient),

Being an idiot I fell off a utility room roof. The builder I was with drove me to the MIU in nearby Clevedon and then I was taken by ambulance with a suspected hip break to Weston General. Beds were stacked up in the corridor, but I was cared for brilliantly and quickly by both ambulance staff and A&E staff. Cannot speak highly enough of their politeness and care and the excellent x ray equipment, the thoroughness of their examination, including ultrasound.

Hi NHS Admirer

Thank you for taking the time to share your story with us. I hope you are recovering well after your fall - that must have been quite a shock.

It is very rewarding to hear stories of how our staff are delivering care and support to patients when they need it most.

We would be happy to share your story with the ambulance staff that involved in your care, however to do so we will need some specific information. If you are happy to do so, please may I ask you to contact us on either plaudits@swast.nhs.uk or 01392 453 831 and a member of the Patient Engagement Team will be happy to help you further.

Thank you, again, for taking the time to provide us with feedback.

Sara
