What I liked
I was brought to hospital by ambulance on 1 Dec having dislocated my ankle and badly broken my leg following a fall at work. I was impressed with the standard of care I was afforded, from initial contact with the Ambulance staff right through to my discharge four days later. Without exception, every member of staff I encountered was pleasant and sociable (both medical and support staff). The standard of food was quite reasonable and there was a decent menu. I was updated at every stage of my treatment. If this standard of care continued into Out Patient Treatement, I shall be very satisfied with my overall experience.
What could be improved
Staff frequently appeared overworked and frequently didn't appear to have adequate rest periods.
Anything else?
Special thanks to the staff on Ward 31 (Orthopaedic) - you were all fantastic.
