About: Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust

(as a staff member),

I am a staff member who takes our young people from Thorneywood adolescent unit. I feel that the experience of taking the young people to the ice hockey matches has been an amazing opportunity for them. All the young people enjoy it and allows them to do something new without having any stigma and supports them on the recovery journey. This has also allowed for the young people to work around socialising and support them on their issues around anxiety. I hope this experience continues over the time and a special thank you to the team who make this all possible.

Hi thank you for your posting. I am so pleased the young people enjoy attending the ice hockey games. The main objective of the campaign is to raise the profile and reduce stigma for people who suffer from mental health. When the arena is full of almost 6,000 fans at times I know it can be overwhelming so I am really pleased the young people you bring can enjoy the fantastic amtosphere to support their recovery journey.

It is a pleasure to run the campaign and I will pass on your thanks to our small team who make these events happen.

Look forward to seeing you all again soon
