"excellent surgery and patient care"

Sunday 20/12/2015. On entering Kent ward for Hip Replacement surgery that day, caring help was given to settle me into my bed and prepare me for my operation which took place 11.45 that day pre assessment chat by the surgeon and requirements of my anaesthesia by the anaethetist was excellent.

After the op I was entertained to a lovely cuppa and biscuit and chats with a member of staff, for about 15 minutes, then back to the ward for 1.20 pm. After my legs returned to normal, about 4 pm, I was helped by ward nurses to get up and start walking around my room. By 7 pm I had walked the full length of the ward.

Next morning I was up and walking the ward with 2 sticks, and after my assessment by the physiotherapist I was assessed as fit to go home at 12.00. This has been the best treatment I have had in a hospital ( including two major ops. in the past).

Many thanks to all the Staft on Kent Ward and Theatre. Regards James Webster.
