Our Daughter was born at Homerton and due to distress during labour her delivery was an emergency using forceps. She was not breathing and once resuscitated was in a poor condition and so we spent 7 days in NICU and SKBU. During labour the staff were wonderful and kept me informed of what was happening at all times, they really helped us through a difficult delivery and I know that they checked up on the wellbeing of our daughter afterwards. We completely trusted the staff that looked after our daughter, every precaution was taken to ensure that she was given the best start in life. Homerton is a busy busy maternity unit and NICU and we felt that the staff managed a personal service whilst coping with the high demand on their time. Should we have any further children we would hope that they would be born in Homerton.
