I recently had to attend Watford A&E with a relative and the care given was second to none. With politicians and the media constantly battering the NHS (for which they should be ashamed) we received only the best of care. The hospital was unbelievably busy and I gather this is the norm. We were seen without too long a wait and due to the reason for being there spent 8 hours at the hospital receiving treatment. Each stage of the process was carefully explained to us and the staff do their very best to look after every patient with great care. As a bystander I got to view first hand the constant flow of arrivals both by ambulance and walk in patients. I found the hospital to be both clean, friendly and well organised. The doctor attending to us was coming to the end of a ridiculously long shift and treated us with warmth and kindness at all times.
For all of this I am extremely grateful. We should be proud of our doctors, nurses and all NHS staff.
"Can't thank the staff of WGH enough."
