Arrived at 7.30 having been told reception opened at 8 am.
However it was already open and at least 20 people waiting.
I thought I would have no chance of being seen as was given no 15 ticket.
I need not have worried, the receptionists had everything organised in a very efficient manner. I was seen within an hour by a very pleasant dentist who put me at ease, as I'm a very nervous patient and waiting to have tooth extracted under sedation.
My tooth had split down the middle and the back was loose.
The dentist offered to either remove tooth or pull out broken piece and temporary fill it.
I opted for latter as I'm terrified of having it pulled with anaesthetic.
It was a painless experience and they talked me through the whole thing.
The dental nurse was also very pleasant and efficient.
I also had to have an X-ray and was in and out within 5 minutes.
I was very impressed with the who,e process.
It's a pity some hospitals don't operate in this efficient way.
The only things I could suggest is that they offer an emergency sedation option for nervous patients.
I could have had my tooth out which would save me coming back to Dental Hospital to have it done later.
