"Accident and Emergency care"

About: Milton Keynes Hospital

I attended a busy Accident and Emergency Services Department on Boxing Day evening at 10.30 pm with a swollen finger following a fall at home the previous day. The finger was very swollen as it was my wedding ring finger. After a wait I saw a nurse and was advised that the ring would need to be cut off, which was done efficiently and painlessly. I was then referred to a doctor for examination and was seen after a short while and sent for an x-ray to confirm that there was no fracture. The x-ray confirmed that there was no fracture and after seeing the doctor again I was discharged. The whole procedure took about 90 minutes and we were very satisfied with the outcome. Thank you to all concerned.
