"A&E"

About: The Great Western Hospital

I ha occasion to spend about 5 hours in A&E today with my daughter.

We were rushed through fairly quickly and although it was a scary time for both of us, the care and treatment she was given was excellent.

As we were in A&E for such a long time, I had plenty of time to see and hear what was going on within the department and it was a humbling experience.

The patience, care and good humour shown by doctors, nurses and ambulance staff was clearly genuine and nothing seemed too much trouble.

You are an amazing bunch of people.

We are so lucky to have the NHS.
