In the morning of (Sun) 29 November 2015, I called the MIU to check if it was open as I had a thumb injury. A staff advised me that there was quite a long queue..
I called MIU again at around 1345 hrs and was advised it was quite quiet. When I arrived at the MIU at 1405 hrs, the receptionist was very polite and very efficient, who told me to wait in the hall.
Around 5 minutes later, a nurse came out greeting me with a smile and took me to a quite place where they took some personal details from me, and asked me some medical background questions.
Another few minutes later, they took me to a 'operation' room, where the foreign body in my thumb, which causing the pus and pain, was removed.
The nurse was very professional and caring, after me advising them that I might scream for pain, they applied more anaesthetic on my thumb before operation and asked another staff to talk to me to distract me from pain, while they were removing the foreign body - they were very quick, all over in seconds!
I was asked to take a few minute rest before I was checked again and then let go.
The whole experience was wonderful - everyone at the MIU was an angle to me.
And they were very efficient too : I arrived at 1405 hrs and left at 1435 hrs!
Thanks!
Terence
