"Dirty rude hospital"

About: Wexham Park Hospital

Came to the hospital A&E and couldn't believe how dirty the paediatric area was, there was puke covered with an absorbent mat, dirty tissues, sick bowls and used cups laying all over. Also a used foot thing that had blood on it. Kids running around waiting to be seen are subject to more infection by touching all this dirty stuff. When notifying a member of staff the one parent was rudely questioned and told it wasn't there job and they weren't interested. Won't ever come back here again

I am sorry that you found the department to be dirty.

This is not the standard expected at all for any of our areas at the hospital.

I would expect the staff to be responsive if something like this was raised with them and I apologise that you found the staff member to be rude.

There is no excuse for rudeness.

We really need to learn from situations like this and so I would be very grateful if you could contact our PALs team with more details, including the name of the patient you were with, time of visit and if possible the name of the staff member who was rude.
