I attended the department recently for an open mri scan after being unable to go through with a conventional mri scan. From the outset the radiographer listened to my concerns and did not rush me to undertake the scan. I was allowed to go at my own pace and encouraged that I was in control of the situation. This helped me to relax in order that I could overcome my claustrophobic fears and undergo the scan. Without the care and dignity shown to me I would not have been able to go ahead with it. I feel that this demonstrates the high professionalism of the department and individual attention given to patients needs. I cannot thank the staff concerned enough for their support at this distressing time. I would highly recommend the hospital to my family and friends.
