Delivered my second daughter here recently and must say that the post natal support was a disgrace. We were breastfeeding and whilst my daughter latched on fine, we started to struggle. There was little help by the midwives who seemed too busy to help. Fortunately I struggled on my own.
Food was non existent. Didn't order food in evening as told we'd be discharged but ended up staying in. What was served to me I wouldn't give to a dog.
Some staff where extremely rude, and I had to ask the senior staff member to stops midwife coming near me due to their unhelpful and patronising attitude.
Turned out my daughter is tongue tied. This was missed by the midwife who delivered her, the postnatal ward and the so called infant feeding team, this is why we struggled so I feel totally let down by the hospital.
Couldn't fault the community midwife I had, nor the midwife who delivered my daughter safely, but feel totally let down by the postnatal care at the hospital
