I brought my 7 year old son to see a doctor in the paediatric outpatient department last week following some concerns I had discussed with my GP relating to his bones and overall health.
I was so impressed with the care that we recieved from the doctor and the entire team.
This doctor took my concerns seriously and listened to what we both wanted to talk about, they allowed me to have a conversation about a number of small symptoms that were not significant on their own, but that I had been worried might be linked and need further investigation.
I left the consultation feeling completely reassured that I had been listened to and understood by an expert who treated both my son and I with respect and compassion.
After this excellent consultation with the doctor, my son then needed to have a blood test. The health care assistant was immediately prepared with a play specialist who expertly distracted my son with games and kindness, while another nurse helped to hold my son's arm in place and again distract him so that what could have been a very traumatic experience was barely noticed.
I cannot praise this clinic enough.
We have always had very good care with the Whitington and we are very grateful.
Thank you all.
