"Mum's diary at the day centre is a great idea"

(as a relative),

I feel my mum's needs are being met. She looks forward to going to the day centre and enjoys the company.

The diary is a great idea, due to her dementia it prompts her to remember what she has done that day and she enjoys reading it back to the family.

The day centre is very spacious with lovely decor and a happy and relaxed atmosphere.

Staff are always friendly and welcoming. There is good management of the service.

Dear nor15,

Please note my thanks for you taking the time to contact us about the new day service in Largs and on your mum's experiences of the service itself.

You rightly point out some of the more creative tools that the staff are implementing to ensure that each person attending, has their needs individually met and I will pass on your words of encouragement to them.

We are proud of the service and of how the design has transferred from drawing to reality and we hope that our service users continue to enjoy their time using the resource.
