"Gyn appointment"

About: University Hospital Wishaw / Urology

(as the patient),

I had an appointment booked for my 3-6 monthly cystoscopy. I recieved a letter on a saturday morning advising of my appointment being brought forward to the day the letter arrived. The location was also changed from WGH to Hairmyres rapid access clinic. I recieved the letter at 8. 30am and my appointment was for that day at 0930 leaving me no time to arrange child care as I live 45mins away from Hairmyres. I made the appointment but I feel when bringing appointments forward postage time should be considered as it was sheer luck I managed to make it. I work for the NHS so do understand appointments need to be changed, but by same token had that letter not arrived until Monday it would show as a DNA through no fault of my own.
