"The consideration and respect ..."

What I liked

The consideration and respect offered to me on admission was exceptional. The staff all work well together and ensure that patients feel re-assured when feeling anxious or distressed. The tests they carried out to try and find the cause of the problem were thorough. I have a choice in my area of attending two different A&E departments and without hesitation myself and all my neighbours would choose Macclesfield everytime. They work hard under pressure and should be very proud of the work they do. The staff tried everything to relieve my pain.

What could be improved

I acknowledged that they were very busy and would have liked to me informed more about what the decisions about me personally were. I did not realise that I would not be going home after initial assessment until I was moved into the obs ward and told to put on night clothes.

Anything else?

The Registrar on duty was very thorough and knowledgeable and there presence was very re-assuring but the whole department should be complimented by management for their devotion to duty.
