Visited a family member who had fallen at home with serious mobility problems. He also suffers from Diabetes and poor general health. On my first visit was shocked at the tactless and insensitive way they treated him.
No communication or effort from any of the nurses to interact with a very elderly and vunerable man. His sugar levels were not taken until many hours after meals. He suffered several hypo's whilst in hospital and not once was this information presented to me or any other family. When questioned as to why basic communication was not kept by any staff members was met with blank stares. The nurses in meadow view ward displayed shameless and inexcusable behaviour.
"Tactless staff. Avoid!"
