"The marvellous expertise and service provided to my husband whilst in hospital."

About: Lincoln County Hospital / Accident and emergency Lincoln County Hospital / Cardiology

(as a relative),

In early November 2015 at 6. am-ish my husband was admitted to Lincoln County Hospital. I cannot praise enough the wonderful Lincolnshire Ambulance Service and the excellence of the Hospital's Accident and Emergency Team.

Accident and Emergency were very impressive as they listened, took time to evaluate my husband's condition - as the cause was not immediately obvious. I appreciated very much their due consideration. We do not mind how much time Accident and Emergency take as we want them to have time to think, reflect and test their hypotheses.

As the morning progressed my husband was then admitted to the Medical Emergency Assessment Unit and several days later the Cardiac Short Stay Ward. Five days later my husband had a Pacemaker fitted and subsequently left the Hospital the following Monday. The amount of time he spent in the Hospital was very important to us as it was very reassuring that he was being monitored. Th episode he had experienced at home that Sunday, prior to Hospital admittance, was frightening indeed.

The quality of the care and accompanying expertise received in both the wards (M. E. A. U and the Cardiac Short Stay) was exceptional. Furthermore, the Surgeon who conducted the operation was readily available for me to talk with soon after the operation - so impressive.

Thank you to every single person who contributes to the Hospital systems and structures: we are beyond grateful for the care, attention, reflective practice and consummate expertise shown by all the staff. My husband now has a new lease of life.

Thank you indeed.
