Staff in general were amazing,especially one nurse,very patient kind and giving however on coming across a staff nurse we were immediately brought back down to earth, they was shockingly rude and abrupt,my mam was at end of life and we would have expected the same care as the first nurse had given. The second nurse made us feel in the way,their manner was extremely bad

Thank you for providing feedback on your recetn experience of Darlington Memorial Hospital and in particular Ward 14.

I am very pleased to hear that you had a positive experience from some staff but very sorry that one nurse made your experience upsetting at such a sad time.

The Trust is grateful for all feedback, positive or negative, as it means we can better understand what is important to our patients, and your comments will be shared with the Ward Sister to pass onto the staff on your behalf.

I know they will be encouraged by your positive comments and I am sure they will reflect on the negative ones and discuss with the ward staff on your behalf
