"Dental nightmare"

About: Derbyshire Community Health Services NHS Foundation Trust / Dental care

(as the patient),

I just couldn’t sleep with the pain, I'd been awake 4 days now, an every time I'd try to sleep I'd be immediately awoken with pain, sleeping tablets had no effect, pain killers had no effect. I started to youtube how to take out your own teeth.

No A&E could help me! an I felt suicidal. The only thing that seemed to work was water. I had to keep my teeth surrounded with cold water. But as soon as it warmed in my mouth, I had to replace it with another mouthful. This continued all the way for another 48 hours, every 10 seconds. With the lower tooth cracked into the root, it had begun to swell forcing it up out' this prevented me from closing my jaw. It felt like my throat was on fire. As the madness set in I was at a loss on what to do! And went to my local A&E, they got me the number for ''Coleman health centre'' and after 20 minutes on the answering machine, I managed to get an appointment later on in the day.

After the X Rays, My Tooth Fairy Claire' 'aka the Dentist', went to work, and started to extract my lower tooth, Panic set in. but knowing the pain was only a few seconds I held on. I began too feel elated and humble towards the experience' knowing I was losing a part of myself to stop the torture I'd endured the past few days. As soon as my tooth fairy started pulling the second tooth I could help but laugh out and had the giggles, I was in total bliss, a bag of mixed emotions doped up painkillers without sleep for days and just had the tooth removed from its nerve causing my so much agony.

Wow, I can never ''thankyou'' enough' for the help I'd received from 'Claire' and 'Coleman Health Centre' Thankyou, Thankyou, Thankyou!

Services like this should be more readily available too help those in need. If it wasn’t for this place' I would of gone and done something severe! Thankyou again for saving my life.
