"Can't praise you more highly"

About: Royal Surrey County Hospital / Cardiology South East Coast Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust / Emergency ambulance

(as the patient),

Walking my dogs in the forest behind my house I collapsed 3 times. Unable to stand I crawled over a mile (with my dogs beside me)back to my house. I eventually went to my local health centre where I was quickly diagnosed with total heart block.

Our lovely doctor immediately called for an ambulance and I was rushed to hospital for an emergency pacemaker. The ambulance crew were excellent, the hospital staff were great and kept me informed of what was happening and even made me laugh.

My surgeon Dr Zuberi has been brilliant and helped me massively when I suffered dizzy spells after surgery. As it happened it was nothing to do with my heart. ! ! The Pacemaker Clinic are so helpful, I have never been kept waiting, very efficient.

I am just so grateful for the superb treatment that I received, Can't praise you more highly.

Dear Helen

Thank you so much for taking the time to feed back to us - I can't imagine what a frightening ordeal it must have been for you.

I am so pleased to hear that you received such wonderful care across the NHS, and particularly that the ambulance crew were excellent. I should be more than happy to pass on your thanks to the crew concerned if you would like me to, so if you do have time, do email me at louise.hutchinson@secamb.nhs.uk to let me know the date and location of our attendance to you.

I do hope you continue to make a good recovery, and thank you again for your kind comments, which are very much appreciated.

With kind regards and compliments of the season, Louise
