"Colposcopy Clinic"

Had my colposcopy today at tameside outpatients!

I would just like to say that the nurses and healthcare staff that cared for me today where absolutely fenominal!

They explained everything in detail and gave me plenty of time to ask questions, they put me at ease from stepping into the room to leaving the room!

I was given all the information I needed and they reassured me on all of the questions! The healthcare assistant really deserves to know how brilliant they are and how cared they made me feel! They held my hand through the whole thing and wiped away my tears when I got scared, talked to me about general things to distract me and was like having my own family member there with me, they were that fantastic!

I would also like to pride the staff on conserving my dignity I was apprehensive about this as the staff at my gp were not as caring towards this as they were! It's not everyday you have to take your clothes off for people you don't know and being such a private area they were really sensitive about this!

They kept me covered up the whole time I never felt that I was on show at all, they let me see the screen so I could see what they were doing and explained everything to me every step of the way!

I would like to say thank you to these members of staff for making such a horrifying week of apprehension and worry go away in just 30 minutes! They should be proud of the care they provide and know that they do a fantastic job and are very highly skilled and knowledgeable in the care they give!

I honestly cannot praise them enough they were fantastic and it has made me not worried at all if I had to go back!

They were absolutely brilliant and I cannot thank them enough!
