I was referred to this hospital through care uk after having a ct scan showing bilateral kidney stones, this was done in May. I finally saw a dr. After 3 month who said as they did not have access to the ct scan, they would do other investigations, at this time they saw that something was pressing an my bladder and referred me to the gynaecologist. The doctor also said they would see me back in 3 month and by then they would also have seen the ct scan results. I went to the gynaecologist who said they saw the fibroid and that this would not pose any long term problems and they discharged me back to the kidney dr. I didn't hear anything back from them for 3 month and when I called them they said that they had re-referred me to the gynaecologist as they still felt that the fibroid was posing the problem, again I waited and saw the new dr. Who recommended a hysterectomy, I had a pre-op on the same day, I waited and never received any info. So today I called secretary and was told firstly that I was discharged, I said how can that be when I need a hysterectomy, they then saw that they had not received a letter from the 2cnd appointment. So now I ask you, how does one trust a hospital that has such poor communication between departments. I'm actually really scared to have the op now.By the way they never did get original ct results and I had to take another scan last week.
