"Nothing but praise"

About: Pilgrim Hospital

I was referred to this hospital when my optician found what they thought was a torn retina in my right eye during a routine eye sight check. The optician made the appointment directly with the hospital for the same afternoon and on arrival at the Royle Eye department I was seen on time and had laser surgery that afternoon. A week later I returned and had further laser treatment and then two follow-up appointments, the last of which was today. Thankfully the surgery was successful, the retina has been repaired and the hospital has discharged me.

I feel very grateful for the treatment I received and cannot thank the staff enough. A special thank you to all consultants, especially the one who came into the hospital specifically to do the first session of laser surgery.

All of the nursing and admin staff were helpful and I would also like to mention the cheery, friendly staff in the cafe in the main entrance.
