"Unacceptable Waiting Time"

About: New Cross Hospital

I arrived at Wilverhampton A&E at 10.00pm on Monday 15th December with very painful eye injury which I did at 9.09om.

I saw a Triage Nurse but this was not automatic, it was after nearly two hours and me asking how long it would be on three occasions. I then waited a total of 3 hours and was told it would be 4 hours.

My eye was not checked at all in this time and I decided to leave.

I made an appointment with my GP this morning and was examined and prescribed with medication within one hour .

I was told by an employee at the hospital that 4 hours was a normal waiting time!

This is unacceptable.
