At 11.30 I contacted my doctor in Seaford as I was doubled up with pain; he arrived within an hour but called me first to discuss my symptoms. He thoroughly examined me and informed me hospital was the next step. He arranged an ambulance - arrived within 30 minutes and the paramedics checked and asked me questions then administered pain relief - wonderful.
Once at Royal Sussex I was registered at A&E and immediately taken to Surgical Assessment. The paramedic spoke with the Staff nurse and told me all in hand and take care.
The paramedic was so caring and helpful. Within minutes I was attended to with questions, tests etc and a Doctor arrived and after examination was told I would have an ultrasound and x ray. This all happened within the hour and returned to SA ward and informed I would be staying overnight. I was to be put on a drip and given antibiotics and the same doctor returned to give me a diagnosis. I was in a bed before 7pm.
Such amazing care and kindness and was kept informed all the way through my care.
The nurses on Bay 8 were wonderful and so appreciate the skilful and professional care I received throughout my stay.
I feel so well now.
Thank you
