"The treatment I received was wonderful.. ..."

About: King's Mill Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

The treatment I received was wonderful.. It could not have been better in a private hospital. I was astonished at the level of cleanliness, all the staff were very caring & professional. Although I did not eat whilst a patient, the menu looked very impressive & other patients in the ward enjoyed their meals.

What could be improved

It is a long way from Ward 32 to the main entrance & when I was discharged I could not walk that distance my husband had to find a wheel chair for me. That distance must be worrying for less able patients & visitors.

Anything else?

Car parking is a nightmare, but I understand that this will improve when all the building work is completed.

Response from King's Mill Hospital

Many thanks for your kind comments which have been forwarded to the ward leader and management team for ward 32.

For information regarding the distance to the wards, once the new main entrance is completed the lift lobby to the wards will be much closer to the entrance.

If you do happen to be admitted again please do not hesitate to ask ward staff to provide assistance regarding wheelchairs or any other concern you may have.

We are very sorry that patients and visitors are experiencing such problems with parking at the moment and would like to reassure you that once the construction work is complete the car parking situation will improve. The situation is continually being assessed to see where improvements can be made during this difficult time.
