"Disgusted"

About: Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital (Wonford)

The consultant I saw was running a little late and I think saw me as an easy way to make up time. As a health professional myself, trained in conducting consultations, I can say that the history taking and examination were dismissive and unmethodical to the point of being desultory, and questioning was overbearing to the point of being offensive. Some significant points were dismissed and others not even touched on.

I am about to make a formal complaint and request a second consultation with a different member of the team, for whom I will take a typed up history, alongside a print out of diagnostic criteria, to try and prevent (based on last experience and other reviews here) anticipated poor practice making the consultation such a total waste of time.
