"Brilliant staff"

About: Kettering General Hospital

I had to go into Juniper on Friday for hysteroscopy. At 63 I had never had an anaesthetic before so was a bit nervous. The staff were brilliant. Absolutely everything was explained to me by the nurse and by the anaesthestist and I was kept informed throughout my stay. All the staff I met from the porter to theatre staff were kind and the anaesthetist told me what they were doing as they gave me the drugs. I can honestly say that I have experienced no pain or nausea and was allowed to go home after two hours, my dignity preserved throughout. I may have to go back for treatment but this was such a pleasant experience that I would not feel at all nervous about going back. My heartfelt thanks to everyone.

It is with great pleasure that I respond to your comments on NHS Choices regarding the care you received while on Juniper Ward this December.

We work very hard as a team to provide individualised care to all the women we care for to ensure you have a positive experience during your time on the ward. We are really pleased to have achieved this for you and your comments will be shared with the team. It means a lot to the ward staff to hear that their dedicated work is very much appreciated.

If you require any further information regarding Juniper Ward, please contact Laura Chambers, Ward Matron, on 01536 492909. She will be more than happy to discuss this with you.
