I had to visit Liverpool Royal A&E on a Friday night after an incident in work. There was a very long wait which was to be expected on a Friday night. The staff were wonderful at dealing with the abusive, drunk or difficult patients so that the rest of us could wait in peace. They communicated well with us on waiting times, why they were increasing and who we were waiting to see. I can't fault the attentiveness of all staff in the A&E department, even the ones not dealing with me directly were checking on me throughout the evening. They all made me feel very comfortable. The department felt clean and well looked after. There never felt like a rush to get you out of there even though they were extremely busy they took time to check all symptoms and an effort to make sure you left in the best health. They gave me options on what to do next after my visit and clear instructions on my prescription. I am so impressed with the department as a whole, and all thanks to the wonderful staff.
