"Early Pregnancy Unit"

I have had two very good experiences of the Early Pregnancy Unit. The first being in July 2015 when I unfortunately experienced a miscarriage. I was referred to the unit where they booked me in for a scan to confirm the outcome of this. I was seen mainly by a Staff Nurse who was extremely compassionate and put me at ease at a very difficult time. The second experience was on the 11th December 15', I was referred by my GP for a scan due to bleeding. Due to my previous experience back in July I was very nervous but the nurse who assessed and stayed with us throughout the whole process was lovely and again made me feel a lot more at ease as was the Nurse Sonographer. Luckily this time had a much more positive outcome and my mind was put at rest that everything was progressing as it should! I just wanted to give my feedback as I have been very impressed by the service on both occasions and don't feel that the staff at Derriford are given as much credit as they deserve.
