"Dreadful experience"

About: Hillingdon Hospital

as meant to have routine blood screenings at 12 weeks. These went ahead with the midwife however as I have difficult veins I had to go to the hospital to have them done. I went to the ante natal ward two nurses tried and failed to get blood so I went to the blood room. They did the bloods and sent them off.

I had an appointment at 16 weeks. They said the bloods had come back but there were no results for hiv. They said this would be chased up.

I then had no contact For three months when I was asked to go and have my bloods redone. Again they said they would drop off the forms so that I could go to the blood room. This did not happen. I called the community midwife on Monday and was told I was booked in for an appointment at the blood room on Thursday at 4 as this was the only time they could do after 4. I went to the blood room and was told they didn't have an appointment for me so I went to the antenatal clinic. I had my bloods taken there in the end.

This has obviously started to make me quite anxious so today I called the antenatal clinic to see when I could get my results back. Before I could explain what happened an extremely rude receptionist ticked me off for not having my folder on me and said they were not allowed to give out information without a hospital number. They would not let me speak and gave me a lecture about carrying my notes when I went shopping.

As I was very upset I called my mum who spoke to the head of midwifery. When they called me they said it was just some results take longer than others. I did question that three months seemed ridiculous. They then passed me onto another person who then informed me that my new sample hadn't been labelled so would have to be retaken. It was arranged that a midwife was to call the next day to do bloods. Nobody called. I had a missed call on my mobile from no number. No voicemail we left and when I tried to call up there was no one available.

I'm very disappointed in my experience at Hillingdon hospital and this raises serious questions as to the treatment I will receive in the rest of my pregnancy.
