I have the same problems as a previous patient. I found the Archway Centre very emabarrasing to go to - the shop across from it calls it the loony bin and the people in the shop watch patients going in and out and make rude comments. I also found it very noisy - you can hear traffic, peoples foot steps, horns, chatter going on continually from out side which prevented me from fully being able to take part in my treatment.
When I was in the waiting room numerous patients were saying the same thing so it seems to be a common problem.
I was told when I first went that I was only allowed six sessions for my OCD and that was all I got .I now have to go privately for continuing treatment as six sessions was just not enough.
Surely treatment should not be rationed? Why should I now have to pay to get the help I need - I should be allowed to get treated until I am better. Even the professional I was seeing said I needed to be seen for longer but she wasn't allowed to offer me more appointments because it would effect the waiting lists.
