"A&E receptionist"

About: University Hospital Lewisham

My daughter was admitted to A & E on 6th Decmber and I couldn't get to her until the following day as I live on the south coast.

I knew that she had an operation first thing on the Monday morning but when I arrived at the hospital the general receptionist was most unhelpful.

Bed allocation could not tell me where she was it just said pending. The general recpetionist just gave me interanl nos to phone which either rang out or didn't know about my daughter.

I went to A& E and met the receptionist, who was absolutely marvellous.

They could sense I was beginning to panic and rang around until they found where my daughter was reassuring me at the same time that they would suceed in doing so.
