"Waiting at Fulwood Clinic"

About: Central Lancashire PCT / Podiatry

(as a relative),

I regularly take my 89-year old mum along to the podiatry clinic at the Fulwood clinic in Preston.

Every time we attend an appointment they are always running late. At my mom's appointment in December, for example, she had to wait for 20 minutes before she went in.

The staff were walking around and I think there was no one in for the appointment, so why are they running so late?

I assume that this meant that all the other appointments for the afternoon were late also.

Dear Narrator106

Thank you for your feedback about waiting time at the podiatry clinic. I was sorry to learn that your mother had to wait for 20 minutes at her appointment in December.

Your comments have been discussed with the manager of the podiatry service and she has reminded all reception staff of the importance of apologising to the patient on occasions when the podiatry staff are running late and also of keeping the patient informed of the situation.

Please accept my apologies, on behalf of Central Lancashire Primary Care Trust to your mother and yourself.
