"Antenatal clinic"

About: Chesterfield Royal Hospital

Yesterday a consultant in the antenatal clinic shouted at me until the point I cried, saying I was selfish and putting my unborn babys life at risk. All I wanted to know was why I had been made come to the hospital, wait for an hour just to have my blood pressure taken and then sent home.

I was really saddened to read your post, the description of what was said to you and that you felt you had been shouted at until you cried.

I hope you read my reply on here as it would be good to arrange for one of our senior midwives to contact you - to talk through what happened and to give us an opportunity to put things right.

If you can call our Complaints and Assistance Team on 01246 512640 they can take some personal details from you and get you some support.

Please do get in touch.

With best wishes Sarah Turner-Saint, Head of Communications
