Recently spent 16 days in MK hospital 'apparently' under care of the Gastro team but was on another ward as no beds available. During my 16 day stay from hell I saw the Gastro team only once and even then they did not do the referral for MRI that they told me they had done.
I ended up being looked after by the cardio team instead and despite my condition not being in their field of expertise they arranged my MRI, my blood tests, looked after me and even arranged my surgery for me. I am disgusted at the way in which I was completely abandoned by the Gastro team and am dreading the fact that I've been referred back to see them in 2 weeks.
