I live between two NHS Trusts and chose not to deliver my baby at this Trust. As a result I have had very little help, advise and support during my community midwife appointments. I have now taken the decision to move my community appointments over to the other Trust who have been very helpful and supportive.
I have had no end of trouble over referrals and booking preparation for parenthood classes, which again, I have now decided not to use my local Trust for.
My husband and I dreaded going back for our next community appointment on Christmas Eve and feel much better now we will be looked after by the other Trust.
We feel that the "service" is washing their hands of us for having our baby elsewhere. At our last appointment the midwife was quite rude about our choice. Patients can choose for a reason and should not be treated unfairly as a result of having their baby elsewhere. Really not looking forward to the post-natal aspect as I do not want these people in my house and I do not wish to engange with them further.
"Dissapointing service"
