I attended for an ultrasound on a lump on my neck.On arrival the staff where lovely, everything was fine. On seeing the doctor things changed.I sat on the bed, told them where my lump was on the back of my neck, the doctor then proceeded to say that if they had seen me in the waiting room they could have told me it was nothing and that I was wasting their time.
I have had pain from the lump next to my spine for well over a year which then travels down my shoulder and into my arm for hours at a time renedering me useless and almost in tears.
Its not like I referred myself but was made to feel pretty awful, the doctor then said they would send a note to my doctor to refer me for an mri which would probably show nothing and I`d just have to live with it.
Well thanks I came for help and came away feeling awful. I am a 48 yr old self employed carpenter who needs to not end up at a point that I cant work for any amount of time. Have worked all my life and paid into the system which I have taken next to nothing out of. Things like this make me wonder why I bother
