I was taken by ambulance to the MAU today. I was seen very promptly. All the staff were extremely courteous and explained things clearly before they happened. All staff introduced themselves and my treatment options were discussed with me. Some people were moaning about the length of time they had had to wait. I cannot complain. Arrived 11 30am. Had observations, various blood tests, chest xray, doctors review, 2 ECGs, consultant review and was sorted by 3pm. Everything seemed to be running smoothly in such a busy department. Also the staff looked as though they enjoyed their work. Lots of smiles and I could hear them checking up on each other. Had one staff had a coffee? had one staff been to lunch? They seemed to look after each other as well as the patients
"MAU were just fabulous today"
