"Extremley poor treatment for my father"

About: The Christie

My father was admitted here by my own efforts in February 2014 and was sat on a ward in a red hot room for 10 days!!! I washed my father and changed him everyday after travelling 40 miles to visit him daily, this should of been done by the nurses! He was supposed to go for a scan on the Friday and no doctor took him he was still waiting the following wedensday, when I asked the nurses what was the report of the scan they said we have no details of this on our records?? I had to make sure they was encouringing him to eat as he became that unwell he had no appetite whatsoever and I tried so hard fetching him fruit and shakes, he also complained of having a sore mouth as from day 2 of being in hospital, in the end of telling the nurses constantly I then went on to buy my own treatment for him as he was uncomfortable with this and whatever they have him in hospital didn't help, I noticed a infection on his side that again should of been noticed by staff and I circled this With a pen to see if it grew overnight, the day after I noticed this had gone worse so I asked the nurses why wasn't this noticed? I have take pictures of my father to show what I found , this is very poor service. He then became very poorly after 10 days on a ward so was moved to critical care for a special treatment that began to take place, they then notified me this wasn't working and there's nothing else they could do? I still have no explanation as to what was the exact cause of his death but I do know what my father had was rare and he was the only uk resident to have this but again I wasn't explained to as to what was gonna happen so soon. The day of his death 10th March 2014 my mother was told she could go home at around 6 o'clock as she could visit my father tomorrow, so I was staying in family overnight above the critical care area, at around 8.30 my father started getting worse and I started to panic, they was injecting things into his arms and by 9.16 be passed away? I still to this day don't know what was the exact reason for his death and the care throughout the 2 weeks at Christies was poor and not enough communication whatsoever. I need to know what went wrong and why I wasn't explained to I feel this has played a masiv impact on my life and my mother. I did write to Christies after his death and spoke to pals wanting to know what had happened!
