"Very happy"

The doctor and their team were superb today. I was in for a minor operation, but still treated with total compassion and kindness, putting the few nerves I had to bed immediately. Operation went very well, and once the anaesthetic kicked in and eyes were closed I was totally relaxed.

I access the NHS very infrequently, and if this represents the standard of service across the board then I can see why the service is held in such high esteem internationally. Admitedly it took a few weeks to get the initial appointment, but I imagine that is due to pressure on the service more than anything else.
